The body keeps the score

Bendy joints that ache or give way. Dizzy spells when you stand. A gut that flares, headaches, reactions to foods and scents that do not behave like ordinary allergies, and a tiredness that sleep never touches. A drawer full of test results, a different specialist for each part, and still no one able to tell you what ties it all together.

These things are not random, and they are not all in your head. The same biology that shapes a neurodivergent brain often shapes the body too, the connective tissue, the system that controls heart rate and blood pressure, the immune and histamine response. So this cluster, hypermobile joints, dizziness, gut trouble, fatigue, heightened sensitivity, travels together far more often than chance, and far more often than it is recognised.

Because each piece is sent to a different clinic, each gets treated on its own, and the pattern is never named. People spend years being told their bloods are normal and it is probably stress, while the thread running through all of it, a brain and a body wired the same way, is the one thing nobody is looking for.

We look at the body and the brain together, because for many people the physical picture is the missing piece that finally makes the whole thing make sense. None of this is a diagnosis, and we are not here to replace your other doctors. It is what we explore with you.
