sanctum healthcare explores the benefits to ADHD & Autism Assessments
Key reasons why you should consider an assessment
This section outlines the key reasons and benefits of obtaining an assessment, including gaining a better understanding of your needs, accessing appropriate support and resources and developing effective strategies to enhance your academic, social, and emotional well-being.
Have you achieved your true potential in life?
- Evaluation of Potential: Reflect on whether you believe you have reached your full potential not only academically or professionally but also in personal growth and relationships an even within yourself. ADHD and Autism can affect various aspects of life, including learning, social interactions, and career achievements.
- Impact on Potential: Consider how your difficulties in focusing, organising, or social interactions might have impacted your ability to achieve your goals.
Supporting Information
- Self-Acceptance and Understanding: A formal diagnosis can help individuals understand themselves better, leading to greater self-awareness of their strengths and weaknesses.
Validation of Experiences: Diagnosis can validate your experiences, explaining why certain tasks might be more challenging for you compared to others.
- Support from industry leading clinicians
- Patient Centric Approach
How much energy does it take to be you?
- Stress and Coping: Reflect on the level of stress and effort it takes to perform daily tasks or achieve your goals. High levels of stress or constant effort to keep up might indicate underlying issues such as ADHD or Autism.
- Daily Struggles: Consider if routine activities require excessive energy, lead to frequent feelings of frustration, or result in burnout.
Supporting Information
- Mental Health Benefits: Understanding the root causes of stress can alleviate anxiety and depression associated with undiagnosed ADHD or Autism.
- Effective Coping Mechanisms: A diagnosis can help in developing effective coping strategies tailored to individual needs, reducing the overall stress in daily life.
- Start your journey to your best self
- Get seen quicker by our clinicians
How easy is it to maintain that level of performance?
- Sustainability of Efforts: Assess whether the effort you put into managing your daily life and responsibilities is sustainable in the long term. Are you frequently exhausted, overwhelmed, or on the brink of burnout?
- Long-Term Outlook: Think about your future. Can you maintain your current level of effort and stress indefinitely, or do you foresee a point where it becomes too much to handle?
Supporting Information:
- Long-Term Planning and Career Choices: A diagnosis can assist in making informed decisions about career choices and long-term planning, ensuring appropriate support systems are in place.
- Access to Support and Resources: A formal diagnosis can increase access to tailored interventions, support groups, and resources, which can help manage symptoms more effectively and sustainably.
- Excellent Treatment Success Rate
- Lasting Transformation for patients
Sense of Purpose
If you sincerely feel that none of these points apply to you, an assessment may not be necessary. However, if you find that these issues resonate with your experiences, seeking an assessment might be a significant step towards understanding and improving your quality of life and finding that sense of purpose.
- Excellent Treatment Success Rate
- Lasting Transformation for patients
Conclusion about whether to get an ADHD or Autism assessment
"Reflecting on whether you have achieved your true potential, the stress involved, and the sustainability of your efforts can help determine the need for an ADHD or Autism assessment. If these challenges are significant, an assessment may provide clarity, validation, and access to necessary support. Conversely, if you feel confident in your achievements, experience minimal stress, and find your efforts sustainable, an assessment might not be essential. Evaluating these aspects carefully can guide you towards making an informed decision."

Assessment FAQ
An accurate assessment conducted by an expert in that field, using multiple sources of credible evidence and thorough interpretation will provide you a narrative and explanation for your challenges and difficulties you face. If the symptoms you experience are impacting your life, you should consider an assessment.
Medication is not the only strategy for managing mental health conditions. We always recommend a multifactorial 360 degree approach, incorporating sleep optimisation, diet/nutrition, movement, stress management, coaching, psychological intervention, psychoeducation and implementing adjustments at home, school and at work.
We always encourage sharing your report and assessment findings with your GP, so that they are fully aware of your condition and treatment. You are of course under no obligation to consent to share this information, as some clients prefer to keep their private assessment private. In this event, we have to caveat that we may have to share information in the event of any possible risk to self or others.
We provide extensive reporting which is individualised to you. Our assessment and reporting process exceeds the standards set by NICE.
We have been in existence as a CQC registered provider for 5 years and are medically led by our consultant psychiatrist Dr Raffi and managed by our clinical nurse specialist Mr Daniel Parr. We have no plans to disband and change the services we provide. In the unlikely event of any catastrophic event, the service was to close, as clinically responsible individuals both Dr Raffi and Mr Parr would have a moral and ethical responsibility to effectively transfer services to another provider, or discharge to the GP, if appropriate. We would never abandon our clients.
We make no secret of the fact that we are a private service and therefore our services are commissioned by private individuals, academic institutions or 3rd sector charities. Our agenda is not led by financial gain, but to provide high quality services that make a difference. We have to generate revenue to run our services for our clients. If we were solely about financial gain, we would not provide pro-bono services to those that are struggling financially. 8% of our revenue is channelled into providing pro-bono services to those who need it most.
