Our Vision & Values

Trust · Honesty · Partnership

February 2026

A leading force in brain health

To be a leading force in brain health, delivering exceptional, holistic assessments and treatments that do not simply meet national and international guidelines but far exceed them. We exist so that every person who comes to us, regardless of background or circumstance, can access the understanding, diagnosis and support they deserve.

Sanctum Healthcare was founded on a deeply personal promise: that clinical expertise should serve as a bridge across the widening gulf of privilege in healthcare. That promise drives everything we do.

We see a future in which brain health is understood, respected and accessible to all. A future where an ADHD diagnosis in childhood transforms a life rather than limiting it. Where autism is recognised and celebrated, not overlooked. Where addiction is met with compassion and evidence, not judgement. Where sleep difficulties are taken seriously and treated effectively. Where mental health is given the same weight and urgency as physical health.

We are building that future, one client, one family and one community at a time.

Three commitments that shape everything we do

Our three core values are not words on a wall. They are commitments that shape every interaction, every clinical decision and every conversation we have. They hold us to account and guide us when the path ahead is uncertain.

Trust

Earning confidence through consistency, competence and care.

Trust is not given freely; it is earned through actions repeated over time. We understand that many of our clients come to us after years of feeling unheard, misunderstood or let down by other services. We do not take that lightly.

We earn trust by being clinically excellent, by doing what we say we will do and by treating every person with the respect and attention they deserve. We are transparent about what we can offer, honest about what we cannot and consistent in the quality of care we provide.

We trust our colleagues, too. We invest in their development, listen to their ideas and create an environment where people feel safe to speak up, ask questions and challenge constructively.

Honesty

Speaking truthfully, even when it is difficult, because our clients deserve nothing less.

Honesty is the foundation of good healthcare. Our clients and their families trust us to give them a clear, accurate picture of their brain health, and we will never compromise on that.

We are honest in our assessments, honest in our recommendations and honest when something has not gone as planned. We embrace the duty of candour not as a regulatory requirement but as a reflection of who we are. If we make a mistake, we own it, learn from it and put it right.

Honesty also means being candid with one another as colleagues. We give feedback with kindness and receive it with openness, because that is how we grow as individuals and as an organisation.

Partnership

Working with clients, families and communities, never doing things to people but always with them.

We believe the best outcomes are achieved when clinicians, clients and families work together as equal partners. From the very first conversation, we listen, we involve and we collaborate.

Partnership extends beyond the consulting room. We work with GPs to establish shared care agreements. We involve families and friends, with consent, in assessments and treatment planning. We train other professionals to better understand ADHD, autism and addictions. Through our Community Interest Company, we reach those who might otherwise be left behind.

We also value partnership within our team. Every colleague, from patient support to clinical leadership, has a voice. The best ideas often come from the people closest to the day-to-day experience of delivering care.

Our Values in Action

Trust in Action

  • Every client receives a thorough, evidence-based assessment that meets or exceeds NICE guidance.
  • We respond to queries promptly and keep clients informed at every stage of their journey.
  • All staff undergo DBS checks and are registered with their respective professional bodies.
  • We display our CQC rating openly and welcome scrutiny of our practice.
  • Client feedback is reviewed weekly, and constructive criticism is acted upon transparently.

Honesty in Action

  • We explain the limits of confidentiality clearly at the outset of every clinical relationship.
  • Outcome monitoring (CORE-OM/YP) is used to track progress honestly, not to confirm what clients want to hear.
  • Our duty of candour policy is embedded in practice, not simply filed away.
  • We are clear that we are not a crisis service and always direct clients to appropriate emergency support when needed.
  • Incident reporting is encouraged and used as a learning tool, never a punitive one.

Partnership in Action

  • Families and friends are actively involved in assessments and treatment planning, with informed consent.
  • We pursue shared care agreements with GPs to ensure continuity beyond our service.
  • 10% of profits are directed to the Sanctum Brain Health CIC, extending access to those who cannot afford private care.
  • Staff supervision includes dedicated time for wellbeing, development needs and collaborative problem-solving.
  • We provide professional training to external organisations to strengthen the wider system of brain health support.

Bringing our vision to life

Our vision and values are brought to life through four strategic commitments that underpin everything we do:

01

Innovation in Brain Health

We are not content to stand still. The science of brain health is evolving rapidly, and we are committed to evolving with it. From our use of the Creyos Cognitive Assessment Platform to the development of DTXIFY as a pioneering treatment service for addictions and compulsive behaviours, we seek out new approaches that are grounded in evidence and focused on outcomes. We benchmark our practice against NICE guidance not as a ceiling but as a floor, always asking how we can do better for the people who depend on us.

02

Accessibility and Equity

Brain health should not be a privilege. Through our Community Interest Company, we direct 10% of profits to support individuals who cannot afford private care. We routinely make reasonable adjustments so that clients and their families can access and engage with our services without unnecessary barriers. We offer female-specific ADHD assessments because we recognise that a one-size-fits-all approach leaves too many people behind. Equity is not an add-on; it is woven into the fabric of how we work.

03

Family and Community Involvement

A diagnosis does not happen in isolation, and neither does recovery. We actively involve families and friends throughout the assessment and treatment process because we know that the people around our clients are often their greatest source of strength. Our assessments include specific questions to capture the perspectives of those closest to the client. We provide education and guidance to families so they feel equipped and empowered, not excluded. Beyond individual care, we contribute to the wider community through professional training and our CIC.

04

Staff Wellbeing and Development

We cannot deliver outstanding care unless our people are supported, developed and valued. Monthly supervisions begin with a check-in on health and wellbeing because we mean it, not because a form requires it. We have completed a Training Needs Analysis and are building a workforce development plan that gives every colleague the opportunity to grow. Protected time for CPD and administration is built into calendars because we recognise that relentless clinical demand without breathing room leads to burnout, not brilliance. Our staff are our greatest asset, and we treat them accordingly.

We are committed to openness and transparency, and as such we display our CQC rating alongside this response.

This inspection was carried out in 2022, shortly after we began operating as a, ADHD service. Whilst we acknowledge that the report, published in 2024, identified areas requiring improvement, we fully respect the findings and the role of the CQC in upholding standards of care.

Since the inspection took place, we have continued to develop and strengthen our systems, processes, and governance arrangements. Many of the measures highlighted in the report were already in progress at the time of inspection, and we are confident that significant improvements have been made in the intervening period.

We were reinspected on 24th February 2026 and are awaiting our updated rating, which will be published on this website in due course.

We remain dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and high-quality care. We welcome any questions or conversations about the report’s findings and encourage anyone — whether service users, families, or stakeholders — to speak with us directly. We are always happy to discuss any aspect of our service openly and transparently.

Making a difference with Brain Health across the UK

Diagnosis Confirmation with Sanctum Healthcare

Prevalent neurodevelopmental conditions

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are prevalent neurodevelopmental conditions that have seen an increase in recognition and diagnosis over the years. In the UK, studies indicate that around 3-5% of children and 2.5% of adults are affected by ADHD, while roughly 1 in 100 individuals are diagnosed with ASD. It’s important to underscore that these figures do not encapsulate individuals who may be overweight, displaying addictive behaviours, or those potentially misdiagnosed with anxiety or depression. This suggests that the true prevalence could potentially be higher, with many cases remaining undiagnosed or misattributed to other conditions.

Brain health explained by experts

01

We help find the answers

At Sanctum Healthcare, we recognise that each individual’s systems—like DNA, sleep, diet, movement, and lifestyle—function at different frequencies, influenced by genetics, environment, and more. When even one of these components is out of sync, it can ripple across all areas of life, impacting how we think, feel, and behave. Our Brain Health Pathway is built on a simple yet profound question: Why? Why are you experiencing these challenges, and what is causing them?

Everyone is different

For many, the answer may point to ADHD, Autism, anxiety, mood issues, sleep dysfunction, or addictive behaviours. While it’s natural to want confirmation and solutions, our approach goes deeper. Rather than viewing these as isolated problems, we see them as interconnected. Brain health isn’t about pigeonholing symptoms into neat categories—it’s about uncovering how these systems interact and understanding the root cause of your difficulties.
