The Informed Cup · Support

If any of this has landed, we can help

The Informed Cup is an expression of how we think at Sanctum. Caffeine is one everyday variable sitting inside a much larger picture. If what you have read here describes your experience, this is where you take the next step.

Where This Came From

The Informed Cup is one expression of a larger way of thinking

The series you have just read is built on the Sanctum Brain Health Model. Instead of treating symptoms in isolation, we look at how your neurotype, your hormones, your sleep, your stress, and the everyday inputs into your nervous system, caffeine being one of them, are interacting in the picture you actually live inside.

Most people who find their way through The Informed Cup arrive at the same conclusion: the cup is rarely the whole problem, and rarely the whole solution. It is usually a symptom of something broader. Sometimes that something broader is ADHD or autism. Sometimes it is perimenopause. Sometimes it is a sleep architecture that has been unravelling for years. Sometimes it is all three at once.

The point of this page is to help you work out where to start.

Four Starting Points

Pick the route that fits what brought you here

Each of these is a different entry point into the Sanctum service. They overlap, and our clinicians routinely move between them during an assessment. Start wherever feels closest to your situation.

01
I think I might have ADHD or autism

If Section 02 of this series described your experience, or if you have been quietly wondering for years, an assessment is the cleanest way to get an answer. We offer adult and child ADHD, autism, and combined assessments, led by Consultant Psychiatrists, using gold-standard tools including the DIVA-5.

02
My cycle, contraception, or perimenopause is part of the picture

If Section 06 hit closer than expected, or if you are a woman in your 40s watching your relationship with coffee, sleep, and mood shift at the same time, our Female Brain Health pathway is built for this. It takes hormones seriously as part of the clinical picture, not as a footnote.

03
Sleep is the thread I keep pulling on

If Section 03 described your reality, sleep is probably the leverage point for everything else. Our sleep pathway includes wearable-based assessment, CBT for insomnia with trained clinicians, and prescribing support where appropriate. Caffeine work is built into the protocol.

04
I am not sure what I need. I just want to talk to someone

If what you have read resonates but you cannot map it to a single diagnosis, that is genuinely useful information. Many of our patients arrive this way. A Brain Health consultation gives you a structured first conversation with a Consultant Psychiatrist to work out what assessment, if any, is the right fit.

How It Works

What actually happens when you get in touch

The first contact is short, human, and does not commit you to anything. We tell you what we think is the right starting point, and you decide.

01
Get in touch

By phone, email, or the contact form. Our client team responds within one working day and arranges a short, no-pressure conversation.

02
Initial conversation

We listen to what you are experiencing and suggest the pathway that fits. If we do not think we are the right service, we tell you that too.

03
Assessment or consultation

Online across the UK or face to face at our Wilmslow clinic. Led by Consultant Psychiatrists using validated tools. Typically two to four weeks from booking to report.

04
What happens next

A written report with clear recommendations. Where appropriate, ongoing management: medication, CBTi, coaching, or a combination. You are not handed a diagnosis and sent away.
