A Mother’s Dream, A Son’s Promise

What She Dreamed, We Now Deliver

The Dream....now a reality

Sanctum Brain Health CIC wasn’t just an idea—it was a promise. A promise born from the dreams of my late mother, Nasim (1951-2007).

From a young age, she instilled in me the importance of compassion, service and justice. She didn’t just want me to become a doctor—she hoped I would use my clinical skills not only to treat, but to uplift; not only to help those who had access, but to seek out those who didn’t. Her vision was always clear: that my work would serve as a bridge across the widening gulf of privilege in healthcare.

Sanctum Brain Health CIC is the realisation of that vision. It’s our not-for-profit arm, created to honour her legacy by offering expert assessment and support to individuals who simply can’t afford private care. We exist to challenge the unfairness built into the system, and to make brain health accessible to those who need it most—not just those who can pay for it.

This isn’t charity. It’s justice. It’s levelling the field for those whose lives and potential might otherwise be overlooked. And in every person we help, in every barrier we break, I see my mother’s dream living on.

Her name was Nasim. Her dream is now a movement.

The Sanctum Promise

Sanctum Brain Health CIC is more than a charitable arm—it’s the soul of our mission. We exist to make brain health accessible to every child and family, especially those who are too often left behind.

A proportion of all revenue generated by Sanctum Healthcare is redistributed directly into the CIC. These funds are used to assess and support individuals who cannot afford private care but need it most.

Our commitment is clear: no one should be denied the right to understand themselves or access the help they deserve simply because of their financial situation.

Our focus begins with children. We actively assess and treat children in the schools where we operate, with priority given to those on Pupil Premium. But our support doesn’t stop there—we also empower the very people who nurture them: the teachers. Through training, tools, and ongoing guidance, we help schools build environments that truly understand and accommodate neurodivergence.

We are working toward a future where a child’s potential is no longer defined by postcode, income, or circumstance. Sanctum Brain Health CIC exists to help build a generation that doesn’t carry the consequences of inequality—only the confidence that comes with being understood.

A true legacy

At the heart of Sanctum Brain Health CIC is the belief that some acts of care should never end.

This initiative is rooted in the idea of continuous giving—the kind that doesn’t stop with a single gesture, but carries forward, multiplying its impact through the lives it touches. In some traditions, this is known as Sadaqah Jariyah, charity or Tzedakah—a form of giving that lives on through education, healing and community service.

Sanctum Brain Health CIC is just that. It is a living legacy. A way of ensuring that every child we support, every teacher we empower and every barrier we break becomes part of an ongoing ripple effect—extending far beyond the initial act.

This isn’t just about fulfilling a professional responsibility. It’s about fulfilling a deeper human one—one that honours my late mother Nasim’s dream: to use the skills I’ve been blessed with to serve those who cannot access the help they deserve.

Through every child assessed, every teacher trained and every door opened, we are quietly building something that outlives us—a future that is fairer, fuller, and more compassionate.

That is the true legacy.
